The Arts & Cultural District in Old Town North comes to life on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 11:00am to 3:00pm as the Old Town North Alliance hosts the 2nd Annual  “Chalk-A-Block.”

Chalk artists will transform the sidewalks and parking lots of Old Town North into their canvases. Live music will fill the air from a variety of artists including local favorites The Okays and Talk in Waves. Local artisans and makers organized by Made in ALX will be on hand to showcase their works. From stationery to jewelry to knitted goods to baked goods and more, there’s something for everyone!

Follow the Old Town North Tern’s footprints from site to site throughout Old Town North and complete the scavenger hunt to be entered to win prizes including a grand prize of a gift certificate for a.lounge+bar generously donated by Hotel AKA Alexandria. 

“Chalk-A-Block” will offer fun for all ages: artists will designate areas at most locations where kids (and adults!) can join in and make chalk art of their own. 

“Chalk-A-Block” is free to attend. Parking is available on surrounding streets; follow local signage.
