OTNA Spring Member Happy Hour - Business and the Arts Grant and 2026 OTNA Art and Culture Walk Brochure

OTNA Members network at Hank’s Oyster Bar on Thursday, April 30th

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for the Old Town North Alliance (OTNA) Spring Member Happy Hour.  A huge thank you to Clifton Brown and Hank’s Oyster Bar for hosting us. It was a beautiful evening to enjoy Hank’s fabulous rooftop bar and a wonderful opportunity to bring so many of our members together to share updates on OTNA, the Arts & Cultural District, Development Projects, and the Linear Park.

OTNA President Ryan Whitaker and Executive Director Sarah Almy prepare to address the group

OTNA Executive Director Sarah Almy announced that earlier this month OTNA was selected as a recipient of a Business and the Arts grant from the Office of the Arts. The $7,500 matching grant will be used to help fund the design, fabrication, and installation of light-pole banners demarcating the Old Town Arts & Cultural District - primarily along N. Fairfax St. and Montgomery St. OTNA is grateful to the City of Alexandria and the Office of the Arts for this opportunity and is excited to get underway on the project. There will be opportunities for community engagement on this initiative so please stay tuned for updates.

Hank’s Oyster Bar

Last night also marked the launch of the 2026 OTNA Art and Culture Walk Brochure.  This is the third installment of the OTNA Art and Culture Walk Brochure, which highlights existing and planned art installations along a walk route that starts at the Torpedo Factory and works its way north through the heart of Old Town North. Hard copies of the brochure will be made available at the Alexandria Visitor Center (221 King St.) and an electronic copy will be posted on OTNArts.com

OTNA Members Rachel Baron and Amy Morton

Thank you all for coming and thanks again to Hank’s Oyster Bar for hosting us! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! If you are interested in joining the Alliance, please contact Sarah Almy at director@otnalliance.org
